Mr. McGinley’s business interest has been honed since his undergraduate days at Washington & Lee, where his chosen curriculum included an emphasis on economics and finance. Those skills propelled him to an in-house position with an internet business directly after law school and have been refined with years of experience representing the interests of businesses in a variety of transactions.

Significant transactions in 2017 include:

• Advised Southern Light, L.L.C. in its execution of a $700,000,000 acquisition agreement with Uniti Group Inc. (Nasdaq: UNIT).

Significant transactions in 2016 include:

• Represented borrowers and banks in over $300,000,000 of real estate and asset-backed loans, including:
  • A $130,000,000 line of credit to a local fiber optic cable company.
  • Nearly $20,000,000 in loans to a local industrial tank manufacturer.
  • Over $5,000,000 in loans to a regional boat dealership
  • Approximately $20,000,000 in loans to a regional commercial trucking company.
• Represented various businesses in multi-million dollar tax valuation disputes with the Mobile County Board of Equalization.
• Represented physician practices in the sale of partnership interests and the establishment of new practices.
• Represented various parties advising the sale and/or purchase of real estate, business assets and other commercial interests.
• Represents companies in various collection matters including commercial foreclosures and vessel seizures.

Mr. McGinley seeks to offer each client high-quality and efficient services suitable to the size and scope of each transaction or case. He is married to a former attorney, and together they are parents to two daughters and a son. The McGinleys are members of Dauphin Way United Methodist Church.
