Russel Myles practices in the fields of commercial, business tort, employment, insurance, securities, communications, and class action litigation. He graduated from The Cumberland School of Law of Samford University, J.D. cum laude 1986, and from The New York University School of Law, LL.M. 1987. At Cumberland, Russel was a recipient of the George M. Stewart Award and a member of Curia Honoris, 1986. He also served on the Editorial Board and as Managing Editor of the Cumberland Law Review. Russel is Chair of the Commercial Litigation Committee of the Defense Research Institute (2005-2006) and serves as well on the Commercial Litigation Committee’s Executive and Steering Committees. Russel also chaired DRI’s Program on Directors and Officers Liability in 2003. He served as Vice-Chair of the Business Torts Committee of the Torts and Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association (1999-2002) and as an Editor of the American Bar Association’s Tort & Insurance Law Journal (1999-2000). He also serves as a regular faculty member of the Cumberland Continuing Legal Education Program.
