Ed Sledge Named to Board of University of Alabama College of Communication and Information Sciences

The University of Alabama recently announced that Edward S. Sledge III has joined the Board of Visitors of the College of Communication and Information Sciences.

The Board of Visitors is an external advisory group whose responsibility is to influence development, advancement, and outreach activities for the College and to effect a close working relationship between communication and industry leaders and the faculty and students of the College.

As a member of the Board of Visitors, Mr. Sledge will assist the College in strengthening relationships with communication and media leaders in the state, region, and nation.

The University of Alabama College of Communication and Information Sciences is a regional and national asset, now the third largest college on campus with over 2,500 students, and one of the largest and best colleges of its kind in the nation.

The College has attained standing among the nation’s best in communication education, ranking sixth nationally for research productivity in telecommunication and media studies and has one of the leading doctoral programs in the country.
