Karen's practice focuses on legal research and writing, both at the trial court and appellate level. She is regularly involved in all aspects of litigation proceedings, including addressing issues related to discovery, the admissibility of evidence, the admissibility of expert testimony, and pre-trial and post-trial motions. Her experience covers a variety of areas of the law, including products liability, commercial disputes, wrongful death and personal injury, insurance coverage disputes, employment discrimination and workers' compensation. In addition, Karen also handles bankruptcy matters and has experience with adversary proceedings related to bankruptcy cases.

Karen graduated from Auburn University, B.A., in 1994, magna cum laude, and from the University of Alabama School of Law, J.D., cum laude, in 1997. She served as the Student Articles Editor of the Journal of the Legal Profession. She was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1997, and is a member of the Mobile County Bar Association, the Baldwin County Bar Association, and the Baldwin County Bar Association Bankruptcy Committee.

Karen and her husband John live in Fairhope with their two children.
