Julie McMakin practices in the field of general civil litigation and has worked on a diverse set of litigation in both federal and state courts. Julie graduated from Cumberland School of Law in 2009. During law school, she served as Chief Judge of the Trial Advocacy Board, as Senior Associate Editor of the American Journal of Trial Advocacy and was a member of the Career Services Advisory Board.  Julie was also a two-year member of Cumberland's nationally ranked Trial Team and a winner of the 2008 AAJ National Trial Competition. She is also the recipient of the American Board of Trial Advocates Award, and a member of the Order of the Barristers. Prior to law school, Julie received her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama, 2004, graduating magna cum laude with a major in communication studies and a minor in advertising.  She was the recipient of the Senior Academic Achievement Award for the College of Communication Studies.
