Jerry A. McDowell practices in the fields of railroad, insurance, products liability, professional liability, class action, and corporate litigation. He was born in Bladon Springs, Alabama, and served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army 1957-1961. He graduated from The University of Alabama, B.S. 1957, and from The University of Alabama School of Law, LL.B. 1963. While at The University of Alabama, Jerry served on the Board of Editors of the Alabama Law Review, 1962-1963. He served as law clerk to The Honorable Daniel H. Thomas, United States District Court, Southern District of Alabama, 1963-1964. Jerry is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He is a member of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel, and the Defense Research Institute, Inc. Jerry is listed in The Best Lawyers in America.
