Blair Newman practices in the area of general litigation.  He is from Mobile, Alabama and is a member of the Alabama State Bar and the New York State Bar.  Blair graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law, summa cum laude, in 2006 and from Washington and Lee University in 2002.  During law school, Blair served as an editor of the Alabama Law Review.  He was also selected as a Hugo L. Black Scholar, was admitted to the Order of the Coif, and was a recipient of the Dean M. Leigh Harrison Award.  After law school, Blair served as a law clerk to the Honorable Sharon Lovelace Blackburn, Chief Judge, United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.  Before joining McDowell Knight Roedder & Sledge, Blair was an associate at Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom in New York, New York.
