Brian P. McCarthy practices in the field of general civil litigation, with an emphasis in general maritime and admiralty law, commercial litigation, personal injury and wrongful death litigation, railroad litigation, products liability, and construction litigation. He was born in Gary, Indiana, and was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1986. Brian graduated from Illinois State University, B.S. 1981, and from The University of Alabama School of Law, J.D. 1986. He served on the Editorial Board and as the Articles Editor of the Alabama Law Review. Brian is a member of the Mobile Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute, the Maritime Law Association, the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel (Member of National Executive Committee), Brian is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and the American Inns of Court.
